Zoala x EmoMarket at HKLTE 2026: Bringing Student Wellbeing to the Heart of Hong Kong Education
From 25 to 27 June 2026, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre buzzed with educators, school leaders, and wellbeing advocates for the Learning & Teaching Expo (LTE) 2026 β Hong Kong’s flagship education event, organised by the Smart City Consortium and presented by Hong Kong Education City under the theme “Reimagining Education: Human Centric, Future Ready.” Right in the middle of it, at Booth C31-SG, Zoala and its collaboration partner EmoMarket HK (ζ η·θεΈε ΄) came together to put student wellbeing on the agenda for Hong Kong schools.
What Is EmoMarket?
EmoMarket (ζ η·θεΈε ΄) is a Hong Kong emotion-education brand created by Plus Mind Association that uses character-led, playful tools to help children and families understand and talk about their feelings. At the heart of EmoMarket are NFC-enabled interactive plush characters, each representing a different emotion β kids scan a tag to “activate” a character and start a conversation in Cantonese, English, or Putonghua, turning emotional literacy into an approachable, game-like experience. Alongside the characters, EmoMarket runs workshops, talks, and school partnerships (including with organisations like OneSEN) built around the idea that “every emotion deserves to be understood.”
That mission β making emotional wellbeing tangible, accessible, and easy for young people to engage with β is what made EmoMarket HK a natural collaboration partner for Zoala at HKLTE 2026.

Day 1: A Strong Start for Student Wellbeing
Zoala’s HKLTE 2026 journey opened with an overwhelming response from educators, school leaders, and the wider education community. A highlight of the day was Thomas Chan, Vice Principal of Kowloon True Light School, who shared his school’s approach to student wellbeing and how Zoala is helping the school build more proactive, structured, and meaningful wellbeing initiatives for its students.
The Zoala Hong Kong team, together with EmoMarket HK, welcomed a steady stream of visitors eager to learn how technology and community partnership can support mental wellbeing in schools.
Day 2: Deepening the Conversation
Day 2 built on that momentum. Joined by collaboration partners EmoMarket HK and OneSEN, the Zoala team spent the day in conversation with educators, school leaders, social workers, and wellbeing advocates from across Hong Kong β all exploring how Zoala helps schools move from reactive support to proactive, structured, and engaging student wellbeing programmes.
Three Days, Hundreds of Conversations, One Clear Message
By the close of HKLTE 2026, the takeaway was unmistakable: Hong Kong schools are ready to talk about student mental health.
Over three days, the Zoala team heard directly from principals, teachers, and students about what schools need β and what students wish their schools knew. The timing carried extra weight: LTE 2026 took place the same week the Education Bureau (EDB) released its Digital Education Blueprint, a moment Zoala described as a genuine turning point, with policymakers, educators, and technology providers aligned around the same goal.
Zoala extended thanks to SG Tech and EmoMarket HK for making the journey to LTE 2026 possible, along with EduSpaze, the Smart City Consortium, and Hong Kong Education City, and the many individuals who helped bring the event to life, including Jacob Tsang, Daisy Wong, Jeff Lee, Rene Chu, Alex Ng, Nicky Lam, Jezerie Lan, Thomas Chan, Jeff Sze, and Andrea Lee.
Why the Zoala x EmoMarket Partnership Matters
The collaboration between Zoala and EmoMarket HK reflects a shared mission: making student mental health support more accessible, proactive, and human-centred in Hong Kong schools. As Hong Kong’s education sector moves toward greater digital integration under the new Digital Education Blueprint, partnerships like this one show what’s possible when technology providers, educators, and community organisations work from the same playbook.
HKLTE 2026 may have wrapped, but for Zoala and EmoMarket HK, it marked the start of a bigger conversation about student wellbeing in Hong Kong β with more to come.
